Creative Writing the Imaginative Storm Way

Be the spark that brings creative energy to your community!

You don’t need to be an accomplished writer. When you facilitate an Imaginative Storm workshop, you’ll expand your own creative skills along with your group.

You don’t need an advanced degree. Heck, you don’t even need a college degree or a high school diploma.

All you need is the passion to help people explore and expand their imaginative intelligence . . .

And the desire to make a difference.

No financial investment required

The Facilitator’s Guide to “Creative Writing the Imaginative Storm Way” gives you everything you need to make your workshop happen—even the words you’ll need to say. And if you decide to charge for your workshop, you’ll be paid for your time.

Why are we giving it away? Because we’ve been told that writing in the Imaginative Storm changes lives. That’s our mission: to let everyone know that as a human being, creativity is your birthright.

Everyone can learn to express themselves in writing with authenticity, passion, and purpose. All they need is to be shown how.

Why writing?

  • No expensive materials required: just paper and pen

  • Entrepreneurs, businesspeople, nonprofits and activists, and other creatives need to be able to express their passion and vision in writing

  • In just an hour, you’ve created something, which fosters a sense of achievement

  • A creative practice is a proven antidote to depression

  • Writing with authenticity helps you know yourself

The Imaginative Storm method works for everyone

Yes, everyone! Within just a session or two, you (and everyone in your group ) will something that amazes you. You’ll think: I had no idea I could write like that!

Hear from our first certified facilitator

Sandi Dittmer of Wetumpka, Alabama, has led a number of Imaginative Storm workshops. The photo below shows her session with “the Shady Ladies”—35 women from Shades Valley Community Church women’s group, on a weekend retreat.

Sandi writes: “it was absolute joy! The ladies loved every step. They were deafeningly silent, laughing, crying, sharing, writing and creating for an hour and a half solid. Everyone had a great time, but I think I had the most fun!”

Hear from the participants:

“I was so engaged in the process that I thought of nothing outside of here as I wrote. It was amazing.”

“I attended a creative writing workshop just last weekend. It was supposed to be really good but I got nothing from it. This was totally different and I loved it. It was easy. I got so much from Imaginative Storm and learned so much!”
